Kailong attends PERE Asia Summit 2016 in Hong Kong

PERE Asia Summit 2016 took place in Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hong Kong from March 2-3, 2016. More than 500 attendees, fund managers and international institutional investors joined such the global conference. Ivan Ho, Managing Director of KaiLong participated in the discussion as a panelist for the topic “China’s slowdown – what would be the best-case scenario for real estate investors”.

Tom Delatour, the CEO of Century Bridge Capital expressed that China housing is totally affordable in Tier 1 and top tier 2 cities as he observed that more than 50 out of top 70 key cities have recorded price increase. Russell Platt, CEO of Forum Partners expressed his view on mezzanine financing and said that there’s much room for development in China. Jason Lee, Head of Asia Real Estate of Carlyle clarified his company’s strategy that they’re not exiting China but continued to explore good opportunities in the region.

Mr. Ho forecasted the commercial real estate market and China currency would continue to stable with the support of the government and the successful structural reform. He also expressed his view on grabbing the opportunities from the fast growing co-working space business and the government’s promotion of internet related businesses and entrepreneurship.
